About Me

Thanks for taking the time to learn more about DIG Lawn Services! My name is Mike and I moved to the Northwest in 2006 from Nebraska. I truly enjoy the drastic differences in the two landscapes -- cows and cornfields to mountains and ocean. I live in the North End of Tacoma with my wife and our two dogs. I have over fifteen years of experience in the lawn care industry.

I always knew I wanted to start a lawn care company, but the idea for DIG Lawn Services and all electric mowing was born after reading an article on the impact gas lawn mowers have on the environment. I had no idea that using one gas powered lawn mower for 1 hour is the equivalent to 140 cars on the road.  

After doing a little more research, I decided my lawn care company would be different than most and utilize battery powered equipment for routine lawn maintenance tasks. We would do it greener!  I purchased my first battery powered mower and  was impressed with not only the power it delivered, but also how quiet the mower was. I always believed that you had to use gas to get the power to provide clean cuts, but with the great advances in commercial grade, battery powered equipment, I now know you can have the pristine lawn while reducing your carbon footprint.
